Epiverse Privacy Policy

We’d like you to understand clearly how we collect and use your personal information and how you can protect and update it. So this Privacy Policy describes:

  • What we do with that information; and
  • The personal information we collect and why we do so;
  • How you can access and update it.

Epiverse is an extension of Google Chrome, so Google’s Chrome privacy notice and privacy policy at google.com.au/intl/en/chrome/browser/privacy/ and google.com/policies/privacy/ may apply to certain information collected through it. Alternatively, if you are using the Mozilla Firefox Add-on, Mozilla's respective privacy notice mozilla.org/en-US/privacy/websites/ and privacy policy mozilla.org/en-US/privacy/ may apply.
We’ve tried to use consistent terminology to Google, so if you need to understand a term we’ve used, please check Google’s key terms.
If you have any queries regarding this policy please contact us at "privacy@epiverse.co".

What information do we collect?

When you sign up to Epiverse, we collect some fairly basic information about you – like your email address and username. We may also collect information about the websites you visit in the course of using Epiverse (URL and visit time). To disable this logging, you simply need to close the side bar.

How do we use your information?

We use the above information to:

  • provide you with Epiverse;
  • communicate with you from time to time about your use of it, improvements or changes to it or changes to the Terms of Use or this privacy policy; and
  • record any communication we have with you – e.g. about any issues or problems you might encounter in using Epiverse.

Note that we may process your information on a server outside the country you live in.
We’ll get your consent before we use your personal information for any other purpose.

Information you provide to others

You can check the information we hold about you at epiverse.co, while logged into your account (click on your username in the navigation bar).
We try to operate our services in a way protecting your personal information from accidental or malicious destruction. So if you delete your information, residual copies of it may still remain on our servers and backup systems.

Information we share

We do not share your personal information with others except:

  • With your consent to do so; or
  • With domain administrators you engage, so they can support you (in which case, their privacy policies will apply to their collection, storage and use of that information); or
  • If we have good grounds to believe that sharing your personal information is reasonably needed to:
    • comply with any laws or lawful requests of government authorities;
    • enforce our Terms of Use;
    • address any security or technical issues;
    • protect our rights and interests, or those of others, as required/allowed by law.

Information security

We do our best to protect our users’ personal information from unauthorized access, change, disclosure or destruction – and regularly review our security practices for this purpose. Your personal information is protected by log-in protocols and appropriate encryption. We also only allow staff, contractors and suppliers who have a need to know/access your personal information (for the purposes of providing Epiverse to you), to obtain such access. They are all subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may change from time to time, but we won’t reduce your rights under it without first getting your consent. Any changes will be posted on this page and we’ll flag them to you when you next log on to Epiverse if those changes are significant.
